Histon Station

The station remained open until 1970 and this line from Cambridge to St Ives remained open for freight until the 1990s. Histon station was next to a level crossing on Station Road.

With the construction of the Cambridgeshire Guided Busway the station was due to be demolished, despite a local campaign to save it, because it is one of only a few historic buildings in the area. The level crossing and most of the platform has been demolished but the station building remains derelict.
